I have absolutely loved this bike for years, it is comfortable and fast. But I just added a new race bike and sadly, this bike must go. Since the last overhaul where all components were upgraded, this bike has about 5382 miles on it.

The stem and seat post are the only original parts. The paint is nearly flawless with only one minor scratch in the Specialized logo on the downtube, noted in photos. The smoother, faster Roubaixnamed after the grueling Paris-Roubaix race it has won three consecutive timesis a high-performance, endurance-focused bike that's highly stable and efficient. The groupset was replaced April of 2019 with new Shimano Ultegra R-8000.

New FACT 8r carbon, FACT IS constructed frame with Endurance Road geometry, Zertz inserts and tapered head tube for the perfect blend of stiffness, compliance, and light weight. Race-ready Mavic Ksyrium Elite Wheelset are fast, light, and durable. Reviewing this wheelset is almost pointless; praise of this wheelset has been universal from mechanics, bike shop employees and riders alike. These wheels have never needed to be trued and have zero wobble.

Mavic lists the weight on this set at 1560 grams. These wheels are snappy and fast! Light, fast and stiff rims: ISM (Inner Spoke Milling).

Optimized energy transfer: Isopulse lacing and asymmetrical rim. Rim resistance: Maxtal, SUP welding, Fore drilling. High quality adjustable cartridge bearings: QRM+. SEAT-TUBE LENGTH, B-B CENTER TO TOP. Upgraded from a Trek 1000. I have put a little over 500miles on this bike and all I can say is I LOVE this bike. Very stiff BB, Very comfortable ride. Comes with complete Shimano 105. Very responsive handing, and best of all I can push for long periods of time and feel that I have put in no effort at all. With my old bike, I would usually be dead at the end of the ride.

Not true with the Rouibaix Elite. It is designed to put ina long day of riding.

Saddle takes some time to get used to, but once you find the right place to sit, it is quite comfortable. Tires--if you live in a place with a lot of pot holes and debris in the road, then replace with a pair that has a high TPI. I have Gatorskins on my other bike, and after dealing with three flats on one ride (I generally get no more than 3 flats in a year), I quickly put them on the Roubaix. Great bike for long rides. Company that stands behind there product, complete 105kit, trickle down tech from last years s works. Been on a Tarmac sl2 for three years and back was starting to suffer so decided I need a softer ride that could still sprint without being a wet noodle,,, well this bike is defiantly it. Same frame lay up as 2010swords roubaix and the trickledown tech from the 09 swords also. Wheels set that it some with is highly under rated. I run 290 lbs and the wheels didn't even sweat me there more comparable to kyserium equipes. Overall the bike does what it suppose too ,,, it's a couch that can become a missile when u need it. Litespeed frianze, trek domaine, giant defy. Stiff, fast, responsive and smooth.

Love this bike for triathlons. Used to be a Cat 2 racer but life & family got in the way--thank God. As a guy well past prime but still pushing the edge, this bike brought me to an entire new level of performance. More more me than the bike. Excellent ride Quality - can keep going and going.

Compact frame set - exposes a lot of the seat post which flexes quite a bit - smoothing your ride out even more! I could comment on the components and wheel set - but you can change all that to your liking.

This is actually a 2009 model. I needed a good rain / train bike that I could put in some long hours on without feeling the pains of a hi - performing road race bike. I changed out the wheelset for a bit better model as well as the seat post, stem, and saddle.

Hands down, the best everyday club, century, hi mileage, and occasional fast pace group riding bike IMO. Not really vertically compliant, but rides really smooth. It has a long wheelbase which attributes to this. Fairly slow steering making it very stable on fast descents.

The frameset and fork are AWESOME! Nota road race bike - but a great training bike for a serious road racer! Litespeed Ultimate - I only referenced this bike because of the relationship between titanium and the "perceived" plush ride thatit gives. Other than that I have ridden no similar bikes! Nice build, rides like a dream. Great geometry for the over30 rider. Wish it had Dura Ace. 2010 Roubaix Elite, with 105 components. Comfortable carbon frame and seat, slick 105 drive train, reliable.

However no matter how I adjusted bars, seat etc. I was experiencing continuing neck pain during longer rides on the Allez. The Roubaix, with its more upright positioning cured the neck problem (I'm 70 years old)and has turned out to be by far the best bike I've ever owned.

Smooth ride, fast, comfortable, what's not to like? While not a racer, it has also been dead reliable. No adjustments or component problems of any kind have arisen in close to 5k miles of spirited riding. Recently changed out the odd 23/25c OEM tires for much narrower 23c Conti Ultra Gatorskins with no loss of ride quality or comfort.

Highly recommended for those who want to maintain a fast pace without resorting to rehab. Specialized Allez (triple), Motobecane touring model. This bike is good for the long haul at moderate to moderately high paces.

It's not designed to race and it will never feel as fast as a Tarmac or anything comparable. This is one comfortable ride that leaves you feel like you're gliding. And, yes, the saddle is very nice. It can be upright if left stock. Not being a race bike, it lacks a "zippy" feel and doesn't have a crisp acceleration. After years of riding and loving aluminum, I was given the opportunity to splurge. I bought the 2010 Roubaix and swapped the Mavic wheelset for Bontrager's. I also nixed the carbon seatpost for a Bontrager.

I don't see how the first reviewer can state that there's too much flex in the frame. I'm a true Clyde at 280lbs and this bike remains stiff even when I hammer. It rides like butter and soaks up the road (any road) I take. If you leave the bike stock, it will be pretty upright.

I cut the fork and made it a zero-stack as well as flipped the stem. This gives it a nice neutral position. Trek 2.3 stock, Scattante XRL with Ultegra gruppo, Specialized Tarmac Elite, Motobecane Le Champion with Tiagra gruppo. I boughtthe 2010 Roubaix Elite a. Couple months ago and absolutely love it. This is my first road bike (MTBer for years) so the relaxed geometry and more upright riding position of this bike has been perfect for me. I don't really have anything to compare this bike to since this is the first road bike that I've ever riden/owned. However, I would highly recommend this for anyone that is looking for a comfortable bike for long rides.
