2018 Cannondale Scalpel 29er Carbon. This Cannondale Sacalpel was built specifically to be ultra low mass just 23.75lbs on our scale! But also to rip single track like only a custom bike can. It starts out with Cannondale outstanding full suspension carbon Scalpel frame suspended by the insanely light 100mm Lefty 2.0 carbon front fork and a RockShox Monarch XX rear shock.

Then you add a Shimano XTR Di2 electronic drivetrain which makes the sub 24lb weight even more impressive! Not only are these bullet proof wheels, they also weight just 1420 grams and feature a Chris King rear hub and Scwalbe Racing Ralph rubber at both ends.

A ENVE carbon handlebar compliments the ENVE theme as does the carbon seatpost. The drivetrain is the aformentioned Shimano XTR Di2 11-speed but more specifically is includes Cannondales superlight HollowGram Si carbon cranks with a 32t Spiderring chainring. Rear cassette is a 46-11 tooth setup. Both front and rear suspension offers on-the-fly push-button lockout.

It is amazing that a bike with this much tech can weigh this little. Still, a Di2 bike with dual remot lockouts under 24lbs is amazing.

Bike does not come with pedals but a Shimano Di2 charger is included with the bike. The bike is in very good condition with some typical signs of use. Some light marks from trail riding, some "chain slap" on the drive-side rear chain stay and some paint chips and or scratches on the top tube and rear stays.

Front fork is free of marks as is the rear shock. Shifters, handlebars, brake levers and saddle all are in excellent condition.

These "Lefty" equipped Scalpels have rubber bumpers mounted between the fork crowns that protect the frame from the handlebars turning to far... The rubber bumper has peeled some of the paint on the headtube. Wheelset has some like marks to the decals and the face of the crank arms show some heal rub. Mechanically the bike is tip top. It was just serviced and everything works as it should. Brakes are strong, both lockouts work beautifully and that amazing Di2 drivetrain never misses a shift. Tires and handlebar grips are also in excellent condition. This bike needs nothing but a motivated rider.. Frame size is Medium which Cannondale says is the equivalent to a 17.5 frame.

But in reality it really fits more like an 18.5" as I know from experience this bike will best fit riders in the 5' 9" - 5' 11 range. The bike has a stand over height of 30 inches and a 23.5 inch top tube length. Don't ask, the request will be denied. It all depends upon that weeks work load.

So please be patient as we do our best to get the bikes out as quickly as possible to their new owners as we know how exciting it is getting one of the beautiful machines. To clarify these policies and time periods I can tell you the following....

We hand pack every bike ourselves using industry approved, BICYLE SPECIFIC boxes. These include the installation of plastic fork supports to keep the front fork from penetrating the bottom of the box and dérailleur side load supports and axle shields to keep the axle of the wheels from penetrating the side of the box. This ensures that the bike will make it to it's destination. Lastly the box is sealed with industrial box staples to keep the load securely enclosed. They will deny the claim for the simplest of reasons.

That is why we cover all the bases. Packing of a bicycle takes a significant block of time if done correctly.

This is one thing we can say that few other sellers of pre-owned bicycles can... Our bikes will make it to you as promised, as advertised and in EXACTLY the condition that it left us.

Packing a bike is something that takes experience and taking short cuts will only land you in the nightmare of the UPS claims department which can take months to resolve. Better to do it right the first time. Local pick-up is always available. Pedals are not included with bikes unless otherwise noted as I figure anyone looking at this level of equipment already has a favorite pedals system.
