They are engineered to optimize the carbon layout for strength and power. These wheels were so ahead of their time that they had to be brought out and shelved. There still is no wheel out there that comes close to them in performance and durability. They are feather light and so Aero. Most if you reading this intend to take or make KOMS.

But I have to choose between the street or them. I have a set of the last model and the ones right before the new model came out. The ones with the star pattern spokes are the latest and are the 11 speed. The other set have full ceramic white bearings from Boca bearings. Even the races are Ceramic.

The newer set has factory ceramic bearings. This always happens when something is made so advanced and so good that it is shelved. I can't even imagine what Madfiber wheels would look like today!
