What to put in the subject line
- Correction — a factual error in an entry. Please read the corrections policy first, so your report includes what we need.
- Source — a question about how something was verified, or a request for the documentation behind a claim.
- Addition — an event you believe belongs in the record. Tell us what changed because of it, and where it is documented.
- Permission — a request to reproduce text or illustrations from this site.
- Contribute — an offer to research, write or review. See authors and reviewers for what is expected.
- General — anything else.
What we cannot help with
We are an independent record and have no connection to any studio, distributor or rights holder. We cannot forward messages to filmmakers, arrange interviews, license film material, authenticate memorabilia, value collections or grant permission to use anyone else's work. We also cannot supply copies of films.
Questions about the animation industry that are genuinely historical are welcome, and are answered when we can answer them accurately.

The written entries and the original illustrations on this site belong to Frame by Frame. Short quotations with attribution and a link are welcome and need no permission. Republishing entries in full, or reusing the illustrations, requires written permission — write to the editorial address with Permission in the subject line and tell us what you would like to use and where.
Privacy of correspondence
Messages are read only by the editorial team and are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Correspondence is not published, quoted or shared without permission, and email addresses are never added to a mailing list. See the privacy policy for details.
